Sandestin, 2008

 

June 27th thru July 6th.  A Saturday to Saturday trip comes out to be a Friday night thru Sunday.  A 12 hour drive, sugar beach, large vacation house, beautiful resort, abundant sea food, live music, and even a Margaritaville.  Nearly a perfect trip.  Take out the body piercing, tattoos & Lisa - presto !  Perfect.   .... is that right Mag? Emily?    ;-)

This trip was planned out pretty well.  The drive was certainly bearable.  We needed 2 cars.  In my car, 4 girls & me.  That would have been perfect .... except our 5th girl - Lisa the navigator.  A woman giving directions is never good.  And Lisa, the moody Magellan, was no exception. 

The resort : Sandestin.  This was a very nice place.  Very similar to HHI.  Restaurants, live music, shops, the beach, bikes, wave runners, and Parasailing.  Our vacation home, obtained via VRBO, in Magnolia Bay, was pretty awesome.  It sat right on the golf course.  In the morning, sitting in the lanai patio, drinking coffee, watching golfers play thru was very nice.  Next time I will play though.  2 master bedrooms was nice too.  We were within walking distance to the Village which was great.  This rental was plenty big enough for 8 of us, and Cincy.  4 girls, 2 guys, and Cathy & I.  With 6 teenagers I was expecting some difficulties, but had none.  Everyone got along perfectly.  We did plenty......
